On February 18, 2011 the contract was signed between Russian-German Joint Venture Autobahn Ltd and "Corporation Engtransstroy", LLC on construction of traffic interchange on the 57th km of highway M-5 "Ural".
Designation of traffic interchange:
Construction of traffic interchange provides for:
- relieving the existing part of the federal highway М-5 "Ural", which runs through the settlements, from transport not related to their servicing;
- enhancement of traffic safety;
- improvement of ecological situation;
- ensuring high speed for transit traffic streams;
- high level of cargo-and-passenger traffic.
Basic technical parameters:
- highway category – Iа;
- design speed – 120 km/h;
- width of carriageway – 2×7,5 m;
- roadbed width – 36,0 m;
- number of traffic lanes – 4;
- width of separating strip – 13,5 m;
- width of roadside – 3,75 m
- maximum longitudinal gradient – 40‰.
On March 5, 2011 the main works commenced on site (construction of roadbed on exit No. 11).
Scheduled completion date – November 2011.
