Russian-German Joint Venture Autobahn Ltd commenced the construction of race track in Volokolamsky district of Moscow region.

On June 1, 2010 Autobahn commenced the construction of race track in Volokolamsky district of Moscow region.

The works are performed according to the design of German company "Tilke GmbH & Co KG", which has elaborated over thirty-six designs of national and international race tracks.

The race track forms a part of multifunctional sports complex, which provides for construction of approach roads from Volokolamskoye and Novorizhskoye shosse, parking lots and drainage facilities.

The works include: organization of communication, electric power supply, offset and fixation of baselines for roads and junctions, stripping of vegetation, development of infrastructure and arrangement of new engineering utilities (water supply, sanitary sewer system), electric power supply.

The race track under construction is the first track in the Russian Federation, meeting the first degree requirements of International Automobile Federation (FIA) – Formula 1.

The track route has fifteen steering angles, nine of them – left and six – right. The total length of the track is 4070 m, length of "start-finish" straight part – 462,62 m, length of straight segments – 2834 m, length of curves – 1139 m.
